Transitional Housing in Pasadena - Door of Hope
Construction is now underway on Door of Hope’s transitional housing project in Pasadena, and we’re humbled to be the builder on board. This 20-unit development will give families experiencing homelessness a safe, supportive environment with en suite bathrooms, cooking spaces, and shared community areas.
The building’s age presented early challenges—securing the right licensing and insurance required extra care. That’s where Jorgensen Reeve Builders stepped in. We helped Door of Hope navigate the process, clear the red tape, and get the green light to begin construction.
Now that the structure has been stripped to its bones, we’re focused on:
Reinforcing the framing
Preparing for full systems upgrades
Laying the foundation for a complete interior build-out
Permanent Supportive Housing in Los Angeles
Beacon Housing Projects: Lowell & Templeton
We’ve also broken ground on two new affordable housing projects for Beacon Housing, a nonprofit dedicated to permanent supportive housing across Los Angeles. Both projects came through our long-time collaborators, the Samuelson family—a partnership that spans more than 30 years of community-focused construction.
Lowell – A ground-up ADU addition, uniquely located at the front of the property—something newly permitted thanks to a recent change in City of Los Angeles zoning ordinances. It’s a compact build with a big purpose, maximizing available space to create new housing in a dense urban setting.
Templeton – A full remodel of a single-family home, kicking off with Phase 1: sectioning off a portion of the house to accommodate a future JADU (Junior Accessory Dwelling Unit). We’re gutting the interior and installing all-new finishes to support long-term functionality and comfort.
From transitional housing to permanent supportive homes, Jorgensen Reeve Builders is committed to building smart, building with care, and building where it matters most.
