June has been heating up, and letting us know this summer is going to be a hot one! We have completed a couple of projects, and we are getting ready to break ground on a new exciting project!
York Oxy Arts
All teams are mobilizing and preparing as we get ready to break ground on this fantastic new project. This building was built in the 1920’s, and housed the Ocxy Store, a local landmark to the Occidental College population. JRB will construct a build out for the college arts program consisting of an assembly/dance space, gallery for showcasing, and office space, as well as updating the exterior of the building. The remaining section of the space will be core & shell for future restaurant tenant space.
Monrovia Train Depot
MTD is moving along, framing has been completed on the interior of the building allowing the historical team to come in and begin their process of restoring & recreating the finishes. As for the exterior and new canopy, steel columns are being readied to be erected, which is another milestone for this project.
Serenade – That’s a wrap!
Serenade at Riverpark in Oxnard has been completed, and not just our clients, but also the tenants couldn’t be happier with the way everything turned out. Serenade was an exciting and unique project, and the attention to detail is what really made this project unique! We have completed our first project with our new client, The Sydell Group! We renovated their ballroom at The Line Hotel in Los Angeles. The T.I. project included new glass doors for the ballroom, updated fixtures, and modern blackened steel finishes! We were able to connect with the Sydell Group thanks in large part to Gabe Ratner, Sydell’s VP of Operations West Coast. We pride ourselves on not just building quality projects, but building long lasting relationships with our clientele.
Construction Management Corner
In the works for Western National Group is Marshalls in Pasadena. The project is a 22,000 square foot former Staples, which will become a new Marshalls retail store. It’s a core & shell and T.I. project.
