Hello everyone, what a month May has been! Projects winding up, Projects winding down, projects pushing forward and projects in new towns. We hope you all have had a wonderful and prosperous month of May!  Here at Jorgensen Reeve we have been quite busy with all sorts of fantastic projects.

Serenade- The final touches are currently being completed on the project, landscape and exterior finishes are wrapping up. This was a unique project with its fair share of challenges, however with out of the box thinking, and a collaborative approach with the city, design team and ownership we were able to make things happen.

Monrovia Train Depot– I hear the train a comin’ it’s rollin’ round the bend! Demo is done, grading is done, footings dug, rebar in, and concrete has been poured. The interior framing is in progress, rough M.E.P’s are going in, and forming is underway for the stem walls of the canopy platform.  All in all MTD is moving in the right direction!

A few updates on the CM side, Glendora & Palm Desert have wrapped up successfully. The Grand Glendora shopping center is 3 buildings with the largest being 70,500 sq. ft. of build out space, the project included updated site improvements and landscape. The site now houses Sprouts, Marshalls, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Oke Poke, Creamistry and Orange Theory Fitness. We managed the project for Champion Real Estate, which had no delay days and stayed on budget! Palm Desert was a ground up 6,600 sq. ft. building with related site work for Chipotle, and The Mattress Firm.

In the works- Next up in JRB’s lineup as GC, is the York Oxy Arts project in Los Angeles. Occidental College in collaboration with Samuelson Partners is spearheading the project.  The building once housed a convenience store and several artist spaces, a total of 5,720 sq. ft. of building space. This project is a full gut and remodel. The future spaces will house two restaurants, assembly area with sprung floor for the college’s dancers, art gallery area and office space. Located only minutes away from the burgeoning Highland Park, this project marks another step in the revitalization of this area, and a boost to Occidental’s Arts program.

Well that’ll do it for this round folks, we’ll catch up with you sometime in June and let you know about all the progress we’ve made with our current projects, and update you regarding the new projects that are kicking off.
